Confessions of a car thief who sells the stolen cars to Reps Member, lecturer.

Ifeanyi Ekene specializes in buying stolen cars at cheap prices and sells them for high profit in Lagos and other areas. He ran out of luck recently as one of his suppliers was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos State. They even sold some of the stolen vehicles to a member of the House of Reps and university lecturers.

Below are Ekene’s confessions on their mode of operation after being interviewed by a reporter.

“I am from Anambra State, but I sell auto spare parts in Alagbado area of Lagos. I used to buy used vehicles from Dubai but a friend of mine, Ifeanyi, who is based in Akure, introduced me to some people who sell cars at cheaper prices.

“I asked if they were armed robbers and they said no, that they only use master keys to open cars and steal them. The first car they gave me was a Toyota Corolla 2008 model which they sold to me for N400,000 but the market value is about N2.5m.

“Later, they gave me three Volkswagen Vento cars for N350,000 each. The market value is actually N600,000. They sold me a Toyota Camry 1998 model for N300, 000. They also gave me a Nissan Pathfinder and a Toyota Highlander for N700, 000 each. I made over 100 per cent profit on each vehicle.”

Asked how he usually sold the car to members of the public without arousing suspicion, Ekene said, “Nigeria is one of the easiest places to sell a stolen car. Japanese vehicles like Toyota and Nissan are in high demand and they move quickly. When the robbers bring the vehicles, they remove the number plate. What I do later is to go to Berger, give an agent N10,000 to help me do vehicle papers.

“A number plate costs about N32,000 to do. If the stolen vehicle is engraved with the old number, I take the vehicle to a workshop in Ladipo Market where a panel beater will help me to remove the old number.”

On his part, another suspect, Chukwu, a car dealer, said, “I usually go to Benin Republic to buy vehicles and I pay security operatives N35,000 to help me smuggle the cars in because no one stops them on the road. It was a friend, Uche that introduced me to an armed robber, Ozo, in Lagos.

“Ozo sold a Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota Camry to me for N200, 000 each at that time; I did not know he was a robber until one day. While I was driving with him in a car, he came down from the vehicle, brought out a gun and snatched a Toyota J4 Cruiser from somebody. That was when I knew that he was a robber.

“At that point, I said I wouldn’t patronize him anymore. After I had cut ties with him, police arrested him and he implicated me.”

Rev. Teddy Parker commits suicide after telling his congregation that God has stopped hearing him.

Rev. Teddy Parker, a Macon, Georgia pastor killed himself a few days after telling his congregation at his church that God was not hearing him and no longer felt a connection to God.

"I try to pray but I don’t feel like God is hearing me,” Parker said to his congregation “I try to serve but I don’t feel like God is using me. And there are times in your life when God purposely withdraws from you, he doesn't withdraw for the sake of leaving you but he withdraws so you can grow and mature.”
Rev. Parker, a father of two, shot himself in the head with his own gun following Sunday service at Bible Mount Zion Baptist Church while his family and congregation were still at his church waiting for him for the next service..

"When he didn't show up they went looking for him,” a church member, Russell Rowland, told the Post. “I’m very surprised because he didn't preach that. He preached totally against it.

Android 4.4 kitkat update has 10 new cool features as seen on Google Nexus 5

One reason to update your previous android device or purchase the new Google Nexus 5 is to get a smartphone running Android 4.4 KitKat.

There are many new features discussed on the Google Android website, but here are ten things I like about the latest OS so far:
1.      Unlimited home screen panels: With no ability to create folders in the application launcher, Google provides you with the ability to create as many home screen panels filled with app shortcuts, folders, and widgets as you desire.
2.      Support for integrated pedometer: The Nexus 5 now has sensors to support pedometer functions and KitKat enables the hardware through apps like Move. You may soon leave the Fitbit behind.
3.      OK Google voice control: While not as sophisticated as what Motorola has in the Moto X, the Google search voice control capability lets you control your device from the home screen panels.
4.      Immersive mode: Reading books is now a great experience in KitKat with the ability to hide everything but the text. Application support is still limited, but we are early in the KitKat rollout.
5.      Caller ID by Google: You will see Google Search being integrated in more ways and one of these is through caller ID.
6.      Quick office integration: Google purchased quick office a couple years ago and it is now getting integrated into the OS.
7.      Google Wallet without carrier restrictions: Google now provides you with Google Wallet without NFC carrier restrictions so you should be able to tap and pay with a Nexus 5 on any carrier.
8.      Emojis in Google Keyboard: I text a lot and with Emojis it’s just a fun feature to have.
9.      Album art on lock screen: Another feature that is a nice touch is the ability to see your album art while controlling your media right from the lock screen.
10.  Integrated print support: I don't find the need to print much from my phone, but if you do then it is integrated into KitKat.
I am sure you will find many more things to love about KitKat and many more things you might not. Just saying though

Bloody Fight Rumours by Davido and his Bodyguard; Here’s what really happened

News broke on Sunday that Davido and his bodyguards were involved in a fight at a club in a highbrow Lagos area. After different stories were peddled on the matter, his management has released a statement on the issue, with a view to “clear the air” on the falsified accounts circulating about the incident.
Below is what happened at the Grotto Club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Here is the Official Statement from Davido's management: After a successful outing at a recent concert on Sunday November 3 at Eko Hotels, popular musician Davido headed to the Grotto Nightclub on Victoria Island. After a brief stay at the club, Davido and his crew proceeded to his vehicle outside to head home.

Upon entering the vehicle, he realized that his ATM card was missing. His bodyguard Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide better known as Teejay got down from the vehicle to search for the ATM card in the club.

Upon alighting, he was accosted by an already drunk “DJ Jay Dee” who had in his hand a champagne flute. This DJ Jaydee informed Teejay that he had the ATM card in his hand and would like to personally deliver it to Davido.

Teejay politely asked him to hand over the ATM card as it was clear that Davido was right in his view in his car. DJ Jaydee refused to hand over the card without payment and instead proceeded to shout that he knew who Davido was personally and that he (DJ Jaydee) was a known person in Lagos.

Teejay refused him access to Davido which led DJ Jaydee to throw the ATM card on the ground in anger. As Teejay bent to retrieve the card, DJ Jaydee stabbed him in the neck with the champagne flute he was holding.

An oblivious Teejay threw him off his back and proceeded to return the ATM card to Davido. As he was entering the car to leave, one of the occupants noticed the stab wounds and called his attention to the blood. Teejay promptly alighted from the car and went to confront DJ Jaydee who was still yelling outside.

DJ Jaydee apparently not done with his violence stabbed the bodyguard a second time, this time on his hands and ran off into the club. Teejay searched for him to no avail and left the club soon after.

Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide has since reported the matter to the police and they have been to the club to invite DJ Jaydee for questioning. Grotto has been unable to deliver DJ Jaydee to the police, instead malicious and falsified accounts of the incident have found their way on social media portals being championed of course by sources intent on casting vile aspersions on Davido and his bodyguard Teejay.

DJ Jaydee is yet to surface. Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide has pressed charges to this effect.

Davido’s management categorically refutes all the allegations of violence as insinuated by some. Teejay was carrying out his job by restricting access to Davido from an unknown and obviously inebriated and violent individual.

He performed his duties as bodyguard and instead of resorting to violence, followed the dictates of the law. Members of the public and fans should please note that Davido was not present at this unfortunate incident that occurred that night as erroneously reported in a few quarters.

Thank You
